Our Journey

Established on 12th November 2015, Thrissur Coconut Producer Company Limited (TCPCL) is a collective of dedicated coconut farmers from Thrissur, Kerala. Our mission is to enhance the livelihoods of local coconut growers by promoting sustainable practices and value addition to coconut products.

Today, under the Sakthan Brand, TCPCL produces a wide range of Neera-based products.
Accredited by the Coconut Development Board (CDB )and assisted by CPCRI, TCPCL has emerged as a pioneering force in India’s Neera processing and marketing space.

Empowering Local Farmers

At TCPCL, we prioritize the welfare of our farmers. By sourcing Neera exclusively from the Ollur Coconut Producer Federation, we ensure that the benefits of our operations directly uplift the local farming community. This collaboration not only provides a steady income for the farmers but also encourages sustainable tapping practices.

To overcome labour shortages and safety risks in tree climbing, TCPCL has adopted innovative technologies like the SAPER robotic tapping machine, developed by Nava Design and Innovation Pvt Ltd. This solar-powered, AI-enabled device collects fresh Neera at the ground level through a closed, contamination-free system—doubling productivity and reducing the number of tree climbs from 270 to just 2 per flower.

We ensure every bottle of Neera meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability. Quality is at the heart of everything we do. We combine traditional knowledge with modern technology to deliver products that are:

Pasteurized and sealed for safe consumption

Tested for Quality

Tested for Quality on pH (3.5–4.5), Brix (12–16°), and microbial load (<100 CFU/ml)

Packaged Sustainably

Packaged sustainably in eco-friendly PP/glass bottles

License & Product Durability

We are proud to hold an FSSAI license for non-alcoholic coconut beverages and operate with the approval of the Kerala State Pollution Control Board.

Our pasteurized Neera has a shelf life of:
  • 3 months at room temperature
  • 6 months under refrigeration

Looking Ahead

TCPCL is scaling up production from 100 to 400 litres per day, aiming to touch ₹4.32 crore in annual sales within 5 years. Our planned 1000 sq. ft. facility expansion, installation of 400 robotic tapping units, and deployment of decentralized cold-chain infrastructure are all steps toward this vision.

In a sector where many similar ventures have struggled to stay afloat, TCPCL stands resilient as the only Neera-producing company in Kerala that has operated without interruption.
